2% back to the mountains. We have decided to give 2% of the minted coins to the Sherpa communities of Nepal and surrounding Himalayan regions. On Dec 30th of 2024 we will give 1% of the coins to The Sherpa Support Foundation and the other 1% to Sherpa Education Fund of the Sherpa's Alpine Foundation.

The Sherpa Support Foundation:
Providing aid for Nepal Sherpa communities: Our vision is a Nepal, and surrounding Himalayan regions, in which the warm and inviting Sherpa people are not dependent on a climbing season free of natural or man-made disasters to enjoy a strong quality of life.
The Alpine Ascents Foundation:
In 1999, mountaineering outfitter Alpine Ascents International established the Alpine Ascents Foundation as a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization. The foundation is a non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the lives of people who live in indigenous mountain areas by providing access to education and resources.
The Sherpa Education Fund was created to provide funds to educate children in Nepal. Our motivation originated from the families who came to us seeking an education for their children. It is the hope of the Sherpa Education Fund that, through education, these students will enhance their communities by sharing knowledge and generating resources in the future.
